About Us

The KC Kollel was founded in 2007 with widespread Community support. The vision was to introduce a group of Rabbis to Kansas City that can be dedicated to raising the bar of Jewish education and engagement.

Since the inception of the Kollel in 2007, the Rabbis have taught many thousands of classes, one-to-one learning opportunities and lectures throughout all layers and denominations of our varied Community.

Support Us

The KC Kollel is an independent 501(C)3, which is a partnering agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City.  All of our budget is supported by the great people of Kansas City and friends who support and value the extensive work in Jewish education and outreach that we do here in KC.  Grants from the local Jewish foundations and personal donations help us maintain our annual budget.
We work very hard not to charge for Jewish classes (in most cases) because we want to encourage all Jews to learn more about their rich heritage.  We do not want money to be a deterent for learning Torah.  Each year the Kollel engages in several fundraising endevaours, as well as reaching out to over a thousand Jews each year in our informal and formal educational initiatives.

While the Kollel was supported  initally with seed money from a national Jewish education project, we are currently reaching out to all of those interested in Jewish continuity and education to help support the vital work the Kollel brings to the vibrant Jewish community in KC.
